Avoid Information Blocking: Understanding How to Comply in Your Practice

The 21st Century CURES Act is designed to promote “innovation in the health care technology ecosystem to deliver better information, more conveniently, to patients and clinicians," and prohibits providers from information blocking. In short, the Cures Act law and regulations require that doctors share the records unless an exception applies. That means that compliance in everyday practice will often center around exceptions.
This course is designed to help chiropractic physicians understand the information blocking prohibitions and exceptions, how they apply to the office when they apply, and provide an understanding of how to implement the policies for each individual information request.
Join us as we cover a step-by-step approach for practices to take in order to implement and adhere to the Cures requirements. This course was originally presented by Marc Abla, CAE on April 13, 2021.

He is a Certified Association Executive and a graduate of the Certified Leadership Series through the Illinois Society of Association Executives. Additionally, he is a member of the Illinois Society of Association Executives, the American Society of Association Executives, serves on the Board of Directors for the Congress of Chiropractic State Associations, and is currently the Chairman of the Leadership Committee for the Chiropractic Future Strategic Plan.
